Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office announces the service of 324 Warrants for the fist (3) three months of the 2008 year. 126 of the warrants were served by the newly created Fugitive Apprehension Unit. The Fugitive Apprehension Unit was created to locate and arrest wanted criminals. The unit has arrested subjects through out the state of Georgia. This unit has also located and had arrested, subject in Florida, Alabama, and Indiana. The Most Wanted page of the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office has had (4) arrested, that has been on the most wanted page. The following are a few subjects that had been taken into custody: Michael Edward Tucker and Rebecca Lynn Tucker. Following investigations through Lumpkin and Pickens County, Georgia and Dekalb County, Alabama, Rebecca Tucker was arrested without incident on Monday, March 10, 2008 and Michael Tucker was arrested without incident on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 in Collinsville, AL. Michael Tucker had outstanding warrants for Failure to Appear Forgery 2nd Degree, Failure to Appear Obstruction, Failure to Appear False Report of a Crime, Failure to Appear Littering, Failure to Appear Operating a Motorcycle without a Helmet, Failure to Appear Operating a Motorcycle Without a License, Failure to Appear Possession of Methamphetamine, Failure to Appear Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Failure to Appear Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony. Rebecca Tucker had an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear Obstruction (misdemeanor). Rebecca and Michael Tucker are also charged in Dekalb County Detention Center, Alabama for Manufacturing Methamphetamine. Rebecca Tucker Michael Tucker
Jason Adam Grimsley. Following lengthy investigations through Hall, Lumpkin and White Counties, Grimsley was arrested on February 21, 2008 without incident in Hall County with the assistance of the Hall County Sheriff’s Office. Grimsley had outstanding warrants from Hall, Lumpkin, White Counties and Pinellas County in Florida. Grimsley is charged with misdemeanor Marijuana possession in Lumpkin County, two counts of felony Probation Violation in White County, State Probation Violation and possession of Marijuana in Hall County, four counts of Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding and other serious traffic violations in Pinellas County, Florida. Grimsley has burglary charges pending in White County. The Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office received information from Pinellas County of pending charges, which began the investigation. Grimsley had been a resident of Lumpkin County and fled to Hall County after Lumpkin County Deputies began their investigation. Jason Adam Grimsley
Tammy Elizabeth Jackson. Tammy had been fraudulently using the aliases Jackson, Thomas, Barnes and Trusty. Tammy was charged with six counts of deposit account fraud, three of which are felony charges. Tammy has charges in Marion County Florida for grand theft and fraudulent use of credit card bond, both felony charges. After investigation, Tammy Jackson was located in Cullman County Detention Center in Alabama. Lumpkin County deputies notified Cullman County that Tammy would be extradited back to Lumpkin County.
Eugene Franklin McClure Eugene had given law enforcement a false name during a traffic stop, resulting in two felony counts of fraud and forgery, along with three misdemeanor traffic offenses. Following investigation in Lumpkin and Dawson Counties, McClure was arrested on March 5, 2008 without incident at a local business in Dawson County with the assistance of Dawson County Sheriff’s Office. Eugene has pending charges in Dawson County and Bartow County for misdemeanor Probation Violation.
Reed Gibbons Wilkins had failed to report to his probation officer and owes $7,607.50 in fines and $3,423.41 in restitution. Reed had been on probation for vehicular homicide. Deputies learned Reed had been living in Brunswick GA and notified local authorities. Reed was captured by local authorities on March 25, 2008 in Glynn County following a motor vehicle accident.
